Children and Youth News…
Many thanks to Ruth Oregar, Susan Jefferson, Bret Rice, Robin Fisher, Sarah Watkins, Kate Watkins, and Ruth Mazza for helping to make our January Parents’ Night Out a great success! We had 24 kids attend, including 8 from the Preschool. Everyone enjoyed painting birdhouses, doing a scavenger hunt, playing with homemade play-dough, and a number of other games and activities. We’re looking forward to having our next Parents’ Night Out in March and hoping for another great turnout.
Coming up in February:
Sunday, February 5 th – Souper Bowl of Caring – Our Youth will collect donations in the narthex right after church to benefit Samaritan Ministries as part of a national movement to support organizations working to alleviate hunger through collections on Super Bowl Sunday. We’ll also be heading over to Unity Moravian Church for a soup lunch and time of fellowship.Saturday, February 11 th – Annual Valentine’s Dinner and Dance – from 6:00-9:00pm beginning with a five course meal served by the youth and followed by music and dancing. “In the Groove,” a group assembled by Dave Reid, will be performing. Please plan to attend; you don’t want to miss this!Our confirmation class will continue to meet on Sundays right after church. Please let me know if you would like to help by providing lunch for our group of 6-7 people on aparticular Sunday in February or March. Hilary
