Welcome to our New Members

Welcome New Members

On Sunday, May 24, we welcomed several new members to our congregation.

Bret and Andrea Rice and their children Payton and Charlie - by letter of transfer

from Sharon United Methodist Church. Andrea is a founding board member of the

WFCPreschool and currently serves as Vice President. Their son Charlie is enrolled in the preschool and Payton attends 1st Grade at Lewisville Elementary. Bret is the territory manager for Le Bleu Water while Andrea works in computer technology.

Cindy Rogers - reaffirmation of the Christian faith. Cindy rejoins our Shallowford Family having been a past member of the congregation. Cindy is an avid gardener and makes beautiful stoneware and porcelain pottery.

A reception was held in Arnold Hall following the worship service to welcome them, as well as recent new members Grace Ellis and Bob McFadden.

On Sunday, March 22, we were blessed to

welcome Bob McFadden into the life of our

congregation. Bob is retired, lives at Bermuda

Village, and comes to us by letter of

transfer from Providence Presbyterian

Church in Hilton Head, SC. A native of Kentucky,

Bob has lived and worked in Minnesota,

Maryland, and before coming to our

area, lived at Hilton Head for sixteen years.

We welcome Bob into our midst!

Grace Ellis

Grace Ellis comes to Shallowford from Trinity Presbyterian

Church in Winston-Salem, where her husband,

Stewart, was pastor for 17 1/2 years. She had a twenty plus

year career in the North Carolina Community College

system and is currently teaching one section of

Arts in Context, at UNCSA. Grace and Stewart’s sons,

David and John, live in Brooklyn, and Grace’s father, Albert

Winn, lives at Creekside here in Winston-Salem.

Helen Rombaut

Helen Rombaut joined our Shallowford family in October after visiting with us for several months. Helen lived in upper New York state, then in Florida and finally arriving in Lewisville. She lives with her daughter in the Sequoia neighborhood. Helen enjoys knitting and has made some lovely things for the Fall Festival.

The Mazza Family

We welcome the Mazza Family: Michael, Eva, and children, Ruth, Thomas, Dominic and Vivian. The Mazzas come to us from the Roman Catholic tradition and joined by re-affirmation of the Christian faith. They are a family who became connected to Shallowford directly through the preschool. Michael works in internet technology with RJR and Eva is a full-time mom, but finds time to train

dogs as a hobby.
